The racing industry has a proud and storied history in the state of Texas. Texas racing has long been a key contributor to both the Texas economy and Texas culture and entertainment.
However, the Texas racing industry currently finds itself at a difficult crossroads. The industry is losing ground rapidly to competitive threats from surrounding states, and Texas racing's very existence is threatened. If the current business conditions continue, the Texas racing industry, with its rich heritage and tradition, could continue to decline.
It is up to every Texas citizen who loves horses, horse racing, dog racing, or just an afternoon gambling at the races to help save the Texas racing industry. Do your part to help save tens of thousands of Texans jobs and preserve an industry that is part of what makes Texas so great.
By supporting and lobbying for a new law in Texas allowing video lottery terminals (VLT's) at existing licensed racetracks in the state, you will be helping to Keep Texas Running!
